Location: Flexible / Site‑based (UK)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control across major hospital and healthcare construction projects . Working within highly regulated, safety‑critical environments, you will ensure that all works meet statutory regulations, clinical requirements, and the highest standards of build quality.

You will play a key role in protecting patient safety, supporting smooth handovers to clinical teams, and ensuring that facilities are delivered right first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) for hospital construction projects

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, NHS, HTM/HBN, statutory, and regulatory requirements

  • Lead quality planning, inspection, testing, and audit processes across all construction activities

  • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation

  • Monitor and manage non‑conformances, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, design teams, contractors, and clinical stakeholders

  • Support infection control, commissioning, certification, and handover processes

  • Manage quality records, O&M documentation, and as‑built information to meet healthcare standards

  • Promote a positive quality culture across project teams and the wider supply chain

  • Support readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory approvals

About You

You are a detail‑focused quality professional with experience delivering complex construction projects in regulated or healthcare environments.

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within construction

  • Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent)

  • Experience working on healthcare, hospital, or similarly regulated projects

  • Knowledge of construction QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast‑paced site environments

Desirable:

  • Experience with NHS standards, HTMs/HBNs, infection control, or clinical environments

  • Background in MEP‑heavy or technically complex projects

  • Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent

  • Experience supporting commissioning and soft landings processes

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package

  • Opportunity to work on critical healthcare infrastructure projects

  • Long‑term career development and professional training

  • Collaborative, safety‑focused working culture

  • Flexible working options where project requirements allow

How to Apply

Please submit your CV and a brief covering statement outlining your quality management experience within construction or healthcare environments.
