We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate with expertise in Clinical Negligence to join our Healthcare Team to represent Defendants, primarily acting for Private Insurers . The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of clinical negligence cases, providing high-quality legal advice and representation to our clients. This is a hybrid role, with flexibility as to office requirements, so we are open to considering candidates that are based anywhere in the UK. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:- Manage a varied caseload of high value Defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution.
- Provide expert legal advice on clinical negligence claims, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating case documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
- Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Identify opportunities for Business Development.
- Assist with client care matters as required.
- 3+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence.
- Knowledge and experience in handling complex clinical negligence cases for insurer clients.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
