Salary: £28,000 – £39,520 per annum

Why This Role?
Are you passionate about helping young people thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment? Our school, part of a long‑standing educational community, is looking for an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to shape the learning experience of pupils aged 5‑18. You will work with small, bespoke classes (up to six students) alongside a Teaching Assistant, delivering tailored lessons that inspire confidence, self‑discipline, and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons for assigned secondary classes, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on pupil progress, using assessment data to inform teaching.
- Adapt instruction to meet the diverse abilities and needs of learners, including those with SEND.
- Set high expectations that motivate and challenge pupils to achieve their best.
- Promote positive progress outcomes and support preparation for external examinations.
- Demonstrate secure subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 curricula.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, engaging learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Proven teaching experience, preferably delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
- Experience in Humanities, Physical Education, or vocational subject areas is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching‑learning strategies.
- Ability to adapt lessons for a wide range of abilities, including SEND pupils.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Sound understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and behaviour management.
- Good ICT proficiency, especially for enhancing learning through technology.
