Personalized Learning Assistant
One‑to‑One Teaching Assistant (Full‑Time, Fixed‑Term)
Contract: 12‑month fixed‑term, full‑time, term‑time only
Salary: £21,257.48 – £23,232.69 per annum
Location: Leeds (Headingley area)
Start date: Various start dates between January and March 2026

Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and support one pupil or a small group (maximum six pupils) on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Assist the classroom teacher during lessons and help with lesson planning and preparation.
- Report on pupil progress and concerns, liaising with other staff to ensure needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non‑classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with your assigned pupil(s) to drive interaction and learning outcomes.
- Adapt resources to suit individual learning needs.
- Take on additional responsibilities in areas such as food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes, or school yoga.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong basic education – ideally A‑levels, with at least GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Sound IT skills.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a comparable support role.
- Experience working with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Confidence in behaviour management techniques.
- Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (cost covered by the employer).
