Job Title: FLT / Yard Operative
Location: LS12, Leeds
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing

About the Role
Our client, a well-established builders merchant, is currently looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking FLT / Yard Operative to join their busy site based in LS12. This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work with consistent hours in a fast-paced yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently

Loading and unloading vehicles

Picking and preparing orders for dispatch

Assisting customers and delivery drivers within the yard

Providing a friendly and professional service when dealing with customers on-site

Communicating clearly with customers to help locate and load materials

Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Supporting general yard duties as required

Adhering to all health and safety regulations

✅ Requirements

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)

Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or builders merchant environment (preferred)

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

Confident communicating with customers and providing good service

Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Good communication skills
