The Land Buyer Role:
A well-established national housebuilder with a strong regional presence in Yorkshire is looking to appoint a Land Buyer to support their growing land and partnerships team.
This role will focus on identifying and securing new residential development opportunities, managing sites through the appraisal and offer stage and working closely with internal Technical, Commercial and Sales teams to ensure schemes are viable and deliverable.
You'll be active in the local market, building relationships with agents, landowners and local authorities, while taking ownership of opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract stage.
Key Responsibilities of the Land Buyer:
- Source and assess new land opportunities across the region
- Prepare initial appraisals and support offer submissions
- Liaise with agents, landowners and local authorities
- Coordinate due diligence and technical input from internal teams
- Assist with negotiations and progression of sites through to exchange
- Support smooth handover into pre-construction
Key Requirements for the Land Buyer:
- Experience within a Land or Development role in housebuilding or residential development
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation ability
- Good understanding of planning, viability and site constraints
- Able to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders
- Proactive and well organised with a strong attention to detail
