Mobile Vehicle Technician

About the Role

Join the organization’s Patrol division as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving. From the comfort of your own driveway you’ll provide expert mechanical repairs, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support to members across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on‑site mechanical repairs, including battery jumps, tyre changes, and complex fault‑finding.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic issues using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Deliver fast, confident solutions while maintaining a customer‑focused attitude.
• Provide reassurance and clear communication to members during breakdown situations.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any recurring issues to the team.

What We’re Looking For

• A Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post‑qualification technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Problem‑solving attitude – you enjoy variety and can think on your feet.

Working Conditions

• Demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week , with optional overtime.
• Start and finish each day at home – your own driveway is your base.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: £36,400 per annum.
• Realistic OTE: £61,000 per annum, with top performers earning more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
