English Teacher - Outstanding Secondary School - Leeds
A passionate and dedicated English Teacher is required at an Outstanding secondary school in Leeds to join its highly regarded English department from September. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a teacher who is committed to inspiring pupils, fostering a love of literature and language, and supporting high academic achievement across Key Stages Three and Four.

Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across a range of topics and genres
Developing pupils’ reading, writing, and analytical skills
Supporting pupils in preparing for GCSE examinations and coursework requirements
Assessing pupil progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
Supporting extracurricular activities such as literary clubs, competitions, or school productions
Promoting high standards of behaviour and engagement in all lessons
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in English literature and language
Possess effective classroom management skills
Be able to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
Work collaboratively within the department and wider school team
Show commitment to ongoing professional development and best practice
