Behaviour Mentor - Primary School (KS2 Focus)
Location: Leeds Primary School (LS9)

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to work within a supportive and inclusive primary school in Leeds , primarily supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 . This is a full-time role and candidates must be available to start ASAP .
The school promotes high standards of behaviour and a positive learning culture , with a strong focus on rewarding effort, encouraging responsibility and celebrating pupil success through consistent whole-school strategies. Staff use clear and consistent approaches to support behaviour and help children understand expectations within a structured environment.
This role will involve working closely with pupils who require additional behavioural support, helping them regulate emotions, engage in learning and build positive relationships.
The Role- Supporting pupils across KS2 with behavioural and pastoral needs
- Delivering 1:1 behaviour mentoring and small group interventions
- Implementing positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Supporting classroom engagement and learning readiness
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Encouraging responsibility, resilience and positive choices
- Monitoring progress and reporting on behaviour support plans
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or similar
- Experience supporting primary-aged pupils , ideally within KS2
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Calm, patient and resilient approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils
- Must be available full-time and able to start ASAP
