Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

NextGen Teachers is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Leeds. This full-time, term-time position offers the opportunity to work with students aged 4-18 years, supporting learners with a range of special educational, physical, and medical needs.You will help deliver engaging learning experiences, meet individual learner needs, and contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learners with a range of special educational, physical, and medical needs in their day-to-day learning.
- Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, differentiated, and inclusive lessons.
- Provide personal care and support to meet individual learner needs, including moving and handling where required.
- Work flexibly across multiple sites and adapt to the changing needs of learners and the team.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Follow school protocols to safeguard and promote the welfare of all learners.
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to teaching staff or senior leaders.
Who We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children is essential.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, or in a care setting is highly desirable.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated individuals passionate about supporting learners with special educational, physical, and medical needs.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work across multiple sites and different learning environments.
- Good communicators with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and other professionals.
- Cheerful, calm, and patient, able to respond effectively to individual learner needs.
- Willing to learn, support teaching staff, and contribute positively to a collaborative team.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners.
- Motivated to support learner progress, development, and inclusion within a nurturing environment.
