Key Responsibilities for the IT teacher role

* Using a range of teaching strategies and resources including e-learning, which meet learner’s needs.
* Teach engaging and motivating lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Manage learner's behaviour constructively by establishing and maintaining a clear and positive framework for behaviour management, in line with the Academy’s behaviour policy.
* Collaborate with other members of the department, and contribute towards the development of the school’s curriculum.

Required qualities for the IT teacher role:

The ideal candidate must be able to display excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude, you must also know how to use local data to evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching and to monitor the progress of those you teach.

A good honours degree related to ICT and Computing will also be required for this role, accompanied with Qualified Teacher Status.

You must also have a DBS (or be willing to apply for one) and show a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
