Experienced Groundworker / Groundwork Labourer

Location: Based in Wetherby (you must be based within 20 miles of Wetherby)

Salary: £13.50 – £16.25 per hour (Depending on experience) + Time and a Half / Double Time Uncapped Overtime

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor based in Wetherby, focusing on high-quality installations, infrastructure maintenance, and commercial refurbishments of car parks on a national basis. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Groundworker or Groundworks Labourer to join our small, professional team on a permanent basis.

You will be working away from home approximately 90% of the time (typically Monday to Friday).

We take care of the logistics: All accommodation is provided, and all travel and site expenses are fully covered.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting with and leading groundworks including excavation, drainage, and ducting.

* Assisting in the installation of car park infrastructure (bollards, barriers, signage, and islands).

* Preparation for surfacing and white lining.

* General site clearance and ensuring all work is finished to a high standard.

* Working safely and efficiently as part of a close-knit team.

We are looking for someone who "knows their way around a site." Your starting rate will be directly reflective of your independent skill level:

* At the £13.50 end: You are an experienced Groundwork Labourer. You understand site safety, you are physically fit, and you can support the team effectively with a solid understanding of basic groundworks and tool use.

* At the £16.25 end: You are a highly experienced Groundworker who can work with minimal supervision. You have a deep understanding of levels, drainage, and various finishes. This rate is reserved for those with significant years in the trade who can lead tasks and ensure the highest quality of work.

Requirements:

* Valid CSCS Card (Essential).

* Proven experience in groundworks (Commercial/Infrastructure experience is a plus).

* Full UK Driving Licence and your own transport (must be able to reach our Wetherby base).

* Reliable, punctual, and a professional attitude when representing the company on-site
