Project Manager

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of minor works and project works across the Yorkshire Water estate, from instruction through to completion and handover
• Deliver works under JCT contractual arrangements, ensuring full compliance with contract conditions, instructions, valuations, variations and final account processes
• Coordinate and manage self-delivery teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants, including building fabric, civils, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Plan, programme and sequence works, developing and maintaining appropriate programmes, short-term plans and progress reporting in line with contract and client requirements
• Administer contractual change control, including variations, extensions of time, loss and expense submissions and commercial evaluations in line with JCT procedures
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems, including CDM Regulations and Yorkshire Water site-specific safety rules
• Fulfil Principal Contractor duties where applicable and ensure safe delivery of works within live operational environments
• Take ownership of commercial performance, including cost forecasting, value control, risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor and control time, cost, quality and resources, ensuring delivery within agreed response times, budgets and performance targets
• Procure, manage and assess subcontractor performance, competence and compliance in line with GRAHAM and Yorkshire Water requirements
• Act as the primary operational interface with Yorkshire Water stakeholders, including asset managers, site operations teams and framework managers
• Chair and attend progress meetings, safety briefings and stakeholder reviews, ensuring accurate reporting and auditable project records
• Maintain robust project, commercial and quality documentation in accordance with JCT, Yorkshire Water and internal governance standards
• Manage works within live, operational and occupied environments, ensuring minimal disruption to critical water and wastewater operations
• Oversee testing, commissioning, certification, snagging, defects management and final account close-out
• Compile and submit complete handover information, including as-built records, certification, asset data and O&M documentation
• Support delivery of sustainability, environmental and social value commitments, aligned with Yorkshire Water and GRAHAM objectives
• Promote continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across maintenance and project delivery
• Positively represent and promote GRAHAM's values, brand and professional standing within the water sector This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the job title and the range of duties to be undertaken. 2. NVQ Level 6 or 7 (or equivalent) in Construction or Project Management
3. Proven experience as a Project Manager within hard FM, maintenance, civils or construction environments
4. Demonstrable experience delivering works under JCT forms of contract
5. Strong understanding of JCT commercial management, including variations, extensions of time and final accounts
6. Experience managing reactive maintenance, planned works, minor works and small projects
7. Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations with strong health & safety leadership
8. Experience working within live, operational or safety-critical environments
9. Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with effective cost and programme control
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning tools
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with client operational teams Desirable Criteria 1. Experience working within the water, wastewater, utilities or regulated infrastructure sectors
2. Experience delivering works for a water company or AMP framework
3. CSCS Black Manager's Card
4. Membership of, or working towards, a professional body (MCIOB, RICS, APM)
5.
