Maths Teacher (Part time)

This is a part-time opportunity (3 days per week) starting as soon as possible . The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive Mathematics lessons to students within a secondary setting. You will be stepping into a role that requires flexibility, creativity, and a deep commitment to student progression. Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Strong subject knowledge across algebra, geometry, statistics, and calculus.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Organisation: Efficiently managing lesson planning, marking, and admin duties.

• IT Literacy: Proficient use of educational technology and Microsoft Office.

• Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive Mathematics lessons across various levels.
• Develop innovative schemes of work and teaching resources tailored to student needs.
• Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback on student work to drive improvement.
• Monitor and track student progress, maintaining accurate records of achievement.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
• Prepare students for national qualifications and external examinations.
• Lead strategies to improve student retention, attendance, and success rates.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Act as a role model, promoting a positive image of the college at all times.
• Comply with all safeguarding, equality, and professional ethics standards.
