Job Title: Senior Accountant / Manager
Location: Remote (candidates must be based in Yorkshire or Surrey)
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits

About the Role
Our client, a well-established and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Manager to join their team. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong regional presence, so applicants must be based in either Yorkshire or Surrey.

This position is ideal for a technically strong and commercially aware professional who enjoys managing client relationships, overseeing a team, and delivering high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparation and review of management accounts for a varied client portfolio

* Overseeing the production of statutory financial year-end accounts

* Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact

* Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi-senior staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance

* Supervising, mentoring, and supporting team members to aid their development

* Providing proactive advice and insights to clients to support their business growth

* Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met

Requirements

* ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)

* Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment

* Strong experience with management accounts and year-end accounts preparation/review

* Experience managing a client portfolio independently

* Previous experience overseeing or managing a team and reviewing work

* Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach

* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
