Senior Building Services manager

Senior Building Services Manager | Main Contractor | Major Projects | £60k - £70k + Package
We’re working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to appoint a Senior Building Services Manager to oversee the delivery of MEP systems across major projects.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health packages are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
The position would suit an experienced Building Services Manager or Senior MEP Manager who is comfortable leading teams, managing complex packages and working closely with clients, consultants and the wider project team.
What You’ll Be Doing;
* Leading the safe and effective delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems across one or multiple major projects
* Providing technical guidance and leadership to project and site teams
* Managing MEP packages through pre-construction, procurement, installation, testing and handover
* Supporting tender reviews, procurement strategy and subcontractor appointment
* Ensuring MEP works are fully coordinated and integrated into wider programme
* Managing relationships with utility providers, consultants, subcontractors and clients
* Reviewing and approving coordinated drawings, builder’s work details and installation strategies
* Monitoring programme, commercial & technical risks and implementing mitigation measures
* Overseeing quality inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning and progressive sign-off
* Ensuring safe management of live electrical systems and compliance with all statutory requirements
* Driving sustainability and energy efficiency considerations throughout the project lifecycle
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the building services team
What You Will Need;
* Proven experience in a Senior Building Services Manager or similar MEP leadership role
* Strong technical understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems
* Experience delivering major construction projects from pre-construction through to completion
* Strong knowledge of MEP procurement, coordination, commissioning and handover processes
* Ability to lead teams and manage relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
* Experience managing programme, quality, commercial and technical risk
* Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or similar)
* Membership of a relevant professional body such as CIBSE, CIOB or equivalent
* Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH or similar
